Peyto Lake Storm • A stormy autumn October day is the perfect time to visit and photograph this gem of the Canadian Rockies. The cool fall air makes lugging camera gear up the trail an easier task. Upon reaching the Peyto Lake overlook you aren't cursed with a boring blue sky. We photographers are a odd and picky demographic, we love foul weather as it makes our photos more interesting, yet not so many clouds that might obscure our landscape. Here I waited for a couple of hours while the perfect combination of clouds and light came together. It was a pleasant, if soggy wait on this perch above this photographer's nirvana.
