Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park at sunrise. This is one of the gems of California's Big Sur Coast. It was quite by accident I ended up here instead of the sea caves at Pfeiffer Beach, I left Morro Bay 2 hours earlier so I could shoot the sunrise and that was so early I didn’t factor miscalculations. I arrived at the road for Pfeiffer Beach and it’s caves and the road was closed because of a mud slide. Panicked I raced south to Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, hastily parked and raced down the trail and got here in the nick of time. I have always said the serendipity is my partner in photography. This image was better than any I could have achieved at the sea caves.
