Winter at Palisades Reservoir

Palisades Reservoir before the freeze. This was -20 degree morning and the frosty air is evaporating water rapidly off the lake as it attempts to freeze. Big water like twenty mile long lake takes quite a bit of frigid air before finally turning into ice. This is the lake by my home in sunny Swan Valley Idaho.
