Crescent Moon Ranch at Red Rock Crossing
Sadly, I factiously say on this day I had a half moon instead of a crescent one. John Lee homesteaded the Crescent Moon Ranch as a cattle operation in 1880. Today, the ranch is nestled near the base of majestic Cathedral Rock Cathedral Rock, one of the most photographed scenes in the southwest. Because of it’s obvious beauty the ranch has been the backdrop for several western movies! Today Crescent Moon Ranch operates as Red Rock Crossing State Park and a dozen yards from the picturesque barn and pasture is Sedona’s even more famous Oak Creek the best attraction of the park.
