Sunrise, island of Procida

Sunset at Marina Grand on the island of Procida. Even before arriving to Marina Grande, the main harbor of the island of Procida, you are greeted by the charm of the typical pastel-colored houses overlooking the waterfront. While maintaining the atmosphere of a fishing village, where you can still sell fresh fish straight from the boats, Marina Grande is the economic and social area of Procida.

This particular morning I arose long before daylight so I could photograph my way along the one mile of ancient cobblestone street lit with the street lamps and absent of the rumble of incessant motor scooter traffic of daytime.
