Government mules and horses enjoying their pasture after a long day in the pack-train maintaining the hiking trails in Grand Teton National Park. My long gone friend Harold Dugan was the packer for this string for a dozen years and it was one of the highlights of that cowboy's life. I loved hearing his stories of hauling impossible loads into the high Teton ranger patrol cabins; example, huge windows.
