A Great Grey Owl wisely chooses to spend his summers in Jackson Hole’s Grand Teton. National Park. This rainy day provided beautiful even light, the red needles of a dead fir tree provided the bokeh for an interesting and colorful backdrop.

The great grey owl is a very large owl, documented as the world's largest species of owl by length. It is distributed across the Northern Hemisphere, and it is the only species in the genus Strix found in both Eastern and Western Hemispheres.
