Zion's Watchman after sunset just south of Springdale Utah outside of Zion National Park.
I think that some of the true magic of southwestern light is long after the sun goes down. some of these peaks have a residual glow after the sun is gone as if the red sandstone is a magnet for residual warm light in the upper atmosphere. A number of times I have been waiting to the sun to hit the mountains for that kiss of warm light and this wonderful pre-dawn of after sunset glow was gone.
